Visitor Information Centre

The Wilpena Pound Visitor Information Centre is located at the entrance to the resort. Our friendly staff are here to help you get the most out of your stay with information about the region and tour bookings, giving you plenty of things to do. Staff can assist with purchasing National Park permits but we recommend that you complete these purchases online before you arrive.

April to October: 8am-6pm
November to March: 8am-5pm

IGA Xpress

The IGA Xpress Store is located next to the Visitor Information Centre and is open to the general public daily. The store provides essential grocery items including meat, fruit and vegetables, hot and cold foods, ice, liquor and firewood. You can also find merchandise and gifts from the region.

April to October: 8am-6pm
November to March: 8am-6pm

Restaurant and bar

Enjoy a taste of modern Australian dining with native Indigenous ingredients at the Wilpena Pound Resort restaurant and bar. Bookings are encouraged. Visit reception or phone 08 8648 0004.

Cultural tours

Learn about the region from the land’s Traditional Owners by joining an Aboriginal cultural tour. All tours are run by an Adnyamathana guide and range from walks to half day 4WD tours into the gorges.
